Gillian Hannah Berry Jewelry
Gillian Berry graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Fine Arts with a Focus in Fashion Design from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University. At NSCAD Gillian was able to explore many artistic avenues including drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, and textiles. This artistic background influences her concepts, creative esthetic and practice as a designer today. Gillian sees herself first and foremost as an artist who has chosen fashion design as her vessel for creativity. One of her creative outlets is her unique and distinctively beautiful jewelry, which she will have available to visitors at Saltscapes Expo.
She says of her work, “I have made jewelry in some capacity ever since I was a kid and I have been selling my jewelry since 2008. I would describe my jewelry as imaginative and whimsical.”
One of her lines that is very appealing to all ages is jewelry made from antique watch faces and parts. She says that people are drawn to them because of their ornate Victorian feel, and their curious recycled nature. Another popular style are the map pendant necklaces that are made with a country or province in the world highlighted behind domed glass.
Gillian hope to unveil some new statement necklaces and bracelets for a spring collection at Saltscapes! We look forward to what is coming next from this creative artisan.
